2nd Digital RPD Networking Event 2023

31st of May 2023 | 03:30pm - 05:30pm | digital (Zoom)

The 2nd Digital Networking Event of 2023 took place on the 31st of May 2023 organised by the leading team of the network "Research and Practice in Dialogue - International Youth Work". The topic of the event was "Sustainability in International Youth Work". 14 professionals came together to discuss current processes, offers and projects of the entire field of work in Germany.

The digital networking event differed from the classic format of previous networking events.
There is a lot of information, projects and offers regarding the topic of sustainability. Therefore, instead of a detailed input on a past RPD project, several speakers from the network were invited to present their own sustainable projects, offers and processes in order to provide an overview of current events at a national and an European level.

The following speakers were invited to give an input on the listed topics:

  • Nora Determann, Regional Officer Climate Protection in Tourism Region South (c/o Naturfreundejugend Wüttemberg): "Klimaschutz im Tourismus - Jugendreisen als Vorreiter bei der Reduktion von Treibhausgas-Emissionen"
  • Rosaria Picone, Project Consultant (c/o transfer e.V./ Research and Practice in Dialogue - International Youth Work): "Freizeiten for future - Chancen und Grenzen von Bildung für nachhaltige Entwicklung bei Jugendfreizeiten" (Bachelor's thesis, Anika Hintzenstern)
  • Christiane Reinholz-Asolli, Project Officer for International Youth Policy Cooperation (c/o International Youth Service of the Federal Republic of Germany): "Learning Mobility in Times of Climate Change (LEMOCC) - How can International Youth Work be made more sustainable and environmentally friendly?"

  • Nina Festing, Head of Division (c/o transfer e.V. / Research and Practice in Dialogue - International Youth Work): "Entwicklung auf Europäischer Ebene", "Forschung und Praxis im Dialog"
