Building on the insights gained from the FPD Strategy Conference (September 2021) and following the positive feedback received for the digital networking event (December 2021), the coordination office of the FPD Network continues this event format into the current year.
On April 27, 2022, 12 professionals in the field of international youth work and related areas gathered digitally for the first FPD Network Event 2022. The purpose was to gain insights into the "Research and Practice in Dialogue - International Youth Work" network (abbreviated as FPD), to connect with each other, and to collectively identify research needs and project ideas for the advancement of the field of international youth work.
The thematic focus of this event was on the findings of the FPD project "New Formats and Paths for Youth Participation in Mobility Programs" (2019-2021). After a brief overview of the project background and the presentation of key findings by Sandra Petersen (University of Rostock) and Sebastian Zick (former University of Flensburg), who were responsible for the scientific supervision and evaluation of the project, participants engaged in a plenary discussion on the central aspects of the findings, as well as further questions and project contexts, drawing parallels to their own experiences and work realities.
